Name: Swift, Carlie
Age: 16
Status: Human
Family: Mother – Amelia Swift | Father – Joshua Swift
Power: None
Celebrity: Taylor Swift
Appearance: Carlie is around average height for her age – not tall or small, just normal. She’s quite slim, but not drastically, and not particularly muscular. She has fair skin, which always seems to be ever so slightly tanned. Her whole build is that of an average fourteen year old school girl.
Her hair is a light blonde, and is naturally very curly. If she spends hours with the straightners, she can defy nature and make it straight, but it’s often too much effort for her to be bothered with. Though constantly curly, it doesn’t look wild. Never immaculate but always controlled.
Carlie’s eyes are a very pretty blue when they aren’t hidden by her fringe. In most light though, they look almost grey, and it’s only when you focus you see the blue they contain.
Personality: Carlie is constantly talking. Whenever she’s with anyone, she’ll talk twice as much as them, though she’s a very good listener when you need her to be. She’s a really good friend really, though she sometimes gets carried away with herself.
She’s quite naïve when it comes to things like vampires and werewolves. She knows nothing about them, and if you told her about them, she’d laugh and think you were joking.
She longs for someone like Bella’s Edward, but fears she’ll be alone for ever, that she isn’t good enough for anyone. Most girls think like this at some point during their teenage life, and Carlie is defiantly there. There’s no one she really likes yet, though it’s impossible to deny the vampires are beautiful though.
History: Nothing overly exciting has happened to her. Carlie has lived with her mum, Amelia, and her dad, Joshua, in the town of Forks for her whole life. Nothing much happens around here, it’s so dull. The small, constantly rainy town is the last place Carlie wants to spend her life, but for the next few years at the least
Oblivious to the fact that there are vampires and werewolves nearby, she is equally oblivious to the blue moon. However, even she has noticed the dramatic change in the atmosphere, especially in the unbelievably gorgeous Cullen family. Like most other girls, she’s been through the phase of fancying each of the Cullen boys. So, naturally, she is incredibly jealous of Rosalie, Alice, and now Bella. At the moment, she’s single, though she has had a few not very serious boyfriends.
Sample RP: Same as Esteban’s:
Esteban's eyes darted across the forest floor, as he sat patiently above it all. The tree branch could easily support him, and the thick leaves blocked him from view. Very useful when you're hoping no-one will disturb you. Of course, if any of his own species wandered past, they could easily catch his scent - the smell of pine needles would be easily over-powered, even if humans couldn't smell him. That wasn't really a problem though, not around these parts. There were no other of his kind anywhere nearby, or at least not that he knew of. And it was quite hard to miss them. However, if they came from the left, he wouldn't notice them, as they would be downwind.
Esteban grinned to himself. A strange conversation to be having, even in your own head. Nothing exciting happened around here, which is why he was here. Though centuries of life tend to mean boredom, there were times when simply relaxing and taking time out for yourself was the best thing you could do. Yes, centuries. Esteban was old, in that sense at least, though he was permanently trapped in a 19 year olds body. Strange to see such knowledge flowing from such a young person. Well if he was a person anyway. No, not quite that simple.
You see, Esteban's species was vampire. Not a myth no, they're real. I don't expect you to believe me, but at least for now, try to believe me when I tell you of Esteban's kind. The hard, cold, pale white skin the easiest sign to recognize them, closely followed by the irresistible scent and beauty. Such magnificence wrapped in a seemingly human exterior. And for most, the gold, red or black eyes are a tell-tale sign. However Esteban's brilliant blue eyes totally disobeyed that rule. There was good reason for the unusual eye colour. Like a few select vampires, he had a power. He described it himself as being 'persuasive'...
Similar to that of an alpha's double timbre voice, he could force people to do what he liked. However unlike the alpha's he could control all species, not just his own. And also unlike the alpha's, the 'victim' must be looking into his perfect blue eyes. Apart from that, he can make you do anything physical, for example, make you sit down, or walk away. He can't control your thoughts or opinions, and at the moment, emotions, though that's his goal. He could make you cry on command but you wouldn't be sad whilst you did it. He is interested as to whether he can mold your emotions. Apparently, he can if he himself has a strong emotion, e,g, anger.
Anyway, Esteban was here for a break. He'd spent time with a large coven of 'vegetarian' vampires, the Cullens. Perhaps you've heard of them? Anyway, he'd known Carlisle for hundreds of years, and his adopted son, Edward, was also a good friend of his. Now the rest of the family were also known to him, and they all enjoyed his company. So they were sad to see him go. It wasn't like Esteban to stay in one place for a long time unless there was a specific reason to keep him there. And Forks really wasn't an exciting place, even with his old friends there.
Before he moved on to his next exciting destination, most likely Italy since Aro of the Volturi was very interested to see him again, and most likely try to recruit him yet again, he had decided to pause in a nice quiet place to get his bearings and catch up on some much needed me-time. Lying his head against the trunk of the tree, he tried to remember what it was like to sleep. Humans really under-estimated the simple pleasures they could enjoy. His eyelids closed carefully over his precious eyes, but he knew sleep would never come. He'd lost that ability such a long time ago, only to be replaced with a much more powerful one. His eye flashed open again with a grin as if to prove his point.
He'd often wondered about how vampires got their powers. From the information he could gather, it seemed to relate to how you were in your human life. He himself had come from a very rich family. With money comes a lot of... persuasion. Be it by bribery or threats, you still ended up with what you wanted. Esteban also used his charm and words to convince people into doing things for him. Something which translated into his power most likely. He'd compared with other vampires, like Edward and Jasper Cullen, who also had powers, and they'd given him a similar story.
There were a lot of things you could solve with such a large amount of time on your side. This was just one of them. Carlisle had turned to medicine, a strange thing for a vampire you'd think, but no. He had perfect control of the blood lust all vampires felt. So did Esteban - he barely react if a human started bleeding anywhere near him. Though he wasn't sure if he could do what Carlisle had done to his family without... you know...
He immediately brushed the thought away. Today was about relaxing, not worrying. He looked down toward the forest floor beneath him, and took a deep breath of unnecessary air. One of the simple freedoms from human life was the ability to survive without oxygen, or any form of respiration. Along with a good few other things. His eyes followed a small trail of footprints below, but he wasn't really concentrating. His thoughts took him away again as he lent back against the trunk for a second time, staring through the branches up to the cloudless sky. As a few beams fell down through the leaves, his diamond skin flashed onto the floor below.
